The design of Shaoxing Tanyue is a distinct departure from conventional sales centers. It's a space where the natural and the man-made coexist, where the fluidity of water is captured in the form of transparent glass bricks, and where the ethereal beauty of floating clouds is reflected in the subtle changes of the environment. The designers have cleverly used these elements to create a sense of depth and to distinguish between different functional areas within the space.
The uniqueness of Shaoxing Tanyue lies not just in its aesthetic appeal but also in its use of special materials. Glass bricks and waterstones are used extensively throughout the space, adding to its distinct character. The glass bricks, in particular, are a key feature of the design. They are used to separate the negotiation area and the restroom, creating a sense of transparency and fluidity that is reminiscent of water in nature.
Shaoxing Tanyue is more than just a sales center. It's a space where customers can learn about new constructions, interact with sales managers, and even make purchases. The designers have ensured that the space is not just functional but also engaging and stimulating for the visitors. The use of natural elements in the design serves to draw the visitors' attention to the outside environment, reminding them of the beauty of nature that often goes unnoticed.
The project, which covers an area of 401 square meters, was completed in two months. Despite the challenges posed by the city's unique geographical characteristics and cultural context, the designers were able to successfully integrate their understanding of the local culture with the design of the space. The result is a design that is not just aesthetically pleasing but also deeply rooted in the local context.
Shaoxing Tanyue is a testament to the designers' creativity, technical expertise, and innovation. It's no surprise that the project was awarded Silver in A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2019. The award is a recognition of the design's outstanding technical characteristics, artistic skill, and the positive feelings it evokes in the viewers.
